Procedure
Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune disease that occurs when skin cells multiply at a faster rate than normal. When the body can’t dispose of excess skin cells, psoriasis will occur. Psoriasis appears as dry, scaly skin that is often red in color. As psoriasis worsens, it can make the skin start to crack, bleed, and feel itchy. Stiff joints and thick, discolored nails are other symptoms that may occur from long-term psoriasis. Psoriasis can be triggered by symptoms such as stress, injuries to the skin, certain medications, and infections. Psoriasis can occur at all ages, but it most commonly occurs from ages 20 to 60.

- Guttate Psoriasis: Common in children and adolescents. Present as small, round spots that have a reddish color.
- Inverse Psoriasis: Is found as red marks found in skin folds. Often appears near the groin and armpits.
- Pustular Psoriasis: Causes white, puffy blisters that are bumpy and filled with fluid.
- Erythrodermic Psoriasis: Erythrodermic psoriasis is one of the rarer types of psoriasis. Erythrodermic psoriasis causes severe redness across large areas of the body. This often leads to shedding, severe itching, and pain.
